Ingredients

  • The Detox Base:
  • 2 large Fresh Lemons Juiced
  • Raw Honey Quantity: Double the volume of the lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Basil Seeds Sabja, pre-soaked in water for 15 mins
  • The Sparkle & Flavor:
  • 1 cup Sparkling Water or Club Soda Chilled
  • 1/2 cup Fruit Juice of choice Orange, Pineapple, or Cucumber-Mint juice
  • 5 –6 large Ice Cubes

Instructions

  • The Citrus Foundation: Squeeze the lemons into a small pitcher. Carefully remove any seeds to ensure a smooth drinking experience.
  • The Honey Ratio: Measure the lemon juice. Add exactly double that amount of honey into the pitcher.
  • Emulsify: Stir the lemon and honey vigorously until they form a consistent, glossy syrup.
  • Texture Addition: Add the pre-soaked, plump basil seeds to the syrup and stir gently.
  • Carbonation: Pour the chilled sparkling water or club soda into the pitcher. Mix lightly to maintain the bubbles.
  • The Ice Wall: Fill a tall serving glass to the brim with ice cubes.
  • The Pour: Pour the lemon-honey-soda mixture over the ice until the glass is 3/4 full.
  • The Top-Off: Finish by pouring your favorite fruit juice over the top to create a beautiful layered effect.
  • Serve: Garnish with a lemon slice or mint sprig and enjoy immediately.
