Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups boiled sweet corn
  • 0.5 cups boiled green peas
  • 0.3 cups semolina suji
  • 1 green chili pepper chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 tablespoons water as needed
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Blend the base: Blend 0.5 cups boiled sweet corn, 0.5 cups boiled green peas, 0.3 cups semolina, 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, and 2 tablespoons water (as needed) coarsely, keeping some texture in the mixture.
  • Transfer to a bowl: Pour the blended mixture into a bowl.
  • Add the flavor: Add 0.5 teaspoons salt, 1 green chili pepper, chopped, 0.5 teaspoons cumin seeds, and 1 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped to the bowl.
  • Mix and rest: Mix everything well, then let the mixture rest so it firms up and becomes easier to shape.
  • Heat the pan: Warm a pan and add 2 tablespoons ghee or oil, for cooking.
  • Shape and cook: Form the mixture into small patties and place them on the hot pan. Cook on low to medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve: Serve warm with ketchup or your favorite chutney and enjoy!
