Prepare for Baking:
Preheat oven to 350°F
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Let crescent dough sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes
Cut and Fill:
Unroll the crescent dough sheet onto a clean work surface
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut dough into 8 equal squares
Place approximately 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella in the center of each square
Top cheese with 1-2 pepperoni slices (or more if desired)
Seal the Pizza Bites:
Take one corner of each square and fold it toward the center, over the filling
Repeat with remaining three corners, bringing all corners to meet in the middle
Pinch all seams firmly where dough meets to seal completely
Gently roll between palms if needed to create smooth, round balls
Place sealed balls on prepared baking sheet with 2 inches space between each
Make the Garlic Herb Butter:
Melt butter in a small microwave-safe bowl (30-45 seconds)
Add onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to melted butter
Stir well to combine evenly
Brush and Bake:
Using a pastry brush, generously brush seasoned butter over each pizza bite, coating entire surface
Place baking sheet in preheated oven
Bake for 10-15 minutes, checking at 10 minutes
Pizza bites are done when deep golden brown, puffed, and cooked through
Serve:
Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 2-3 minutes
Transfer to serving platter
Serve warm with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce
Storage Tip: Assemble completely and freeze (unbaked) for up to 3 months. Bake from frozen, adding 5-7 minutes to cooking time and brushing with butter before baking.
