- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- pinch freshly ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons honey
Whisk the Base: In a small pot, combine the water, turmeric, lemon juice, and that vital pinch of black pepper. Whisk them together until the turmeric is well-integrated.
The Simmer: Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Once boiling, immediately turn the heat down to medium-low. Let it simmer gently for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to deepen.
Sweeten and Cool: Turn off the heat and stir in your honey or maple syrup. Let the tea rest for a minute or two to reach the perfect sipping temperature.
